An iconic building offering a warm welcome and plenty of well-earned refreshment, this is a popular spot for both locals and visitors alike.

The Speedwell Bar, built in 1903 for James Speed (hence the name) and designed by architects John Bruce & Son, is one of the very few Edwardian pubs in Scotland, and the only one in Dundee, that has retained its original shopfront and fittings, due perhaps to their original exceptional craftsmanship and has been listed for the quality of its interior.
