What do you need

Getting the most from any city break can be a little problematic, especially if you’re not sure how you intend to spend your time. If you’re just looking to explore Dundee on an ad hoc basis and to go where your instincts tell you, then just bring some good walking shoes and perhaps a map, many of which are available in and around the city centre.

We’d recommend a camera or a mobile phone with a good quality camera, because you WILL be impressed by the views and you WILL want to take some snaps for posterity. As in all parts of the UK, you should be prepared for changes in the weather. Dundee is officially the sunniest city in Scotland, but of course it can and does rain here from time to time.

Thanks to the proliferation of excellent restaurants and cafés in Dundee, you might want to have an experimental outlook when looking for somewhere to dine. The city is home to cuisine options from all over the world, as well as many traditional Scottish eateries. There really is something for everyone here, so be sure to bring your hunger pangs with you.

Apart from that, just bring your curiosity and make the most of every single moment!
