There’s something for everyone at The Caird. Choose from the superb cocktail bar, fabulous restaurant, speakeasy bar and a beautiful garden for outdoor eating and drinking.
On the ground floor you’ll find the Cocktail bar where the finest cocktails, craft & traditional beers, wines, proseccos, champagnes and a more informal dining menu can be found. A great place for pre dinner aperitif before heading through to Shackleton’s Restaurant.
The restaurant is housed in the tastefully and sympathetically restored formal dining room and is a nod to Ernest Shackleton, a former Lieutenant on the RSS Discovery, most famous for his 800 mile trip aboard the James Caird Lifeboat (named after Sir James Caird, who helped fund their expedition) after their main ship Endurance sank.
‘Capones’; a 1920’s American speakeasy bar can be found in The Caird’s lower residence. The period decor, jazz vibes and classic liquor take you back to the Roaring Twenties.
But if you’re looking for a more relaxed experience then why not take advantage of the fantastic beer garden, where you can enjoy views over the River Tay with drinks and casual dining.
