The Pine Cone Cafe & Gift Shop

Tayside Forestry is well known for its Christmas trees, but in recent years their reputation is growing for coffee and home baking at the Pine Cone Cafe.

This family run café on the outskirts of the city features all sorts of yummy reasons to drop in – Slices of Victoria Sponge and slabs of chocolatey traybakes; tasty soups and delicious paninis; freshly made crepes with Nutella, jam, maple syrup or traditional lemon and sugar; toasted teacakes and freshly baked scones … Need we say more?

With menus ranging from breakfast, brunch and lunch through to afternoon tea and choices on the daily-changing board reflecting what is fresh and seasonal on the day, it’s no wonder the Pine Cone Cafe have built up a loyal local following. 

They’re super dog friendly too with a specially built ‘DogHouse’ where you are your four legged friends can enjoy lunch after a morning walk.
